The Forecast, produced by our global Advisory Services group, contains a comprehensive analysis of airfare, hotel and car rental trends as well as price predictions for the coming year regionally and globally. The report also provides perspective on T&E management including trends in policy and compliance, change management, corporate meetings and events, online optimization and corporate social responsibility. The Forecast conveys an abundance of high-level insights that we are able to make because of our global reach, access to robust data, and intellectual capital.
About the Speaker
Jiten Bhalgat is a Program Optimization Specialist within American Express Business Travel Advisory Services. In this role, Mr. Bhalgat focuses on helping corporations optimize spending through a focus on Change Management, Compliance and Demand Management.
Since joining American Express in 2002, Mr. Bhalgat has focused on designing and delivering new products to help clients realize greater travel spend savings such as hotel rate auditing, visa and passport services and business travel insurance. Recently, he has focused on methodologies to influence traveler behavior so they stay within policy and allow companies to reach their financial goals.
Prior to joining American Express, Mr. Bhalgat held various marketing, product and pricing strategy positions with Rosenbluth International and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Before that, he worked as a product manager in the biotech sector.
Mr. Bhalgat holds a BS and BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Indiana University. He is based in the Philadelphia area.

About the Topic
One of the gratifying trends in supply chain management is that most companies are actively realizing the importance of their supply chains. The positive impact is that as supply chain professionals, we cannot only achieve saving money for our company but also be a participant in improving company performance, effectiveness, and efficiency. Many companies and supply chain organizations, in fact, have begun taking steps to move towards implementing philosophies, methods, and processes that would be considered "world class or best practice". This presentation will address 10 fundamental supply chain initiatives that are key for building a best of class supply chain organization.
About the Speaker
Mr. Engel was one of the original founders of The Procurement Centre, a company that specialized in Staffing, Project Services, and Training for Supply Chain Organizations. The Procurement Centre was acquired by Resources Global Professionals in October 2002 and Bob is currently National Director of Client Service for the Supply Chain Management practice.
Bob has been in the supply chain profession for over 35 years, and has worked for both Fortune 100 companies as well as private companies. During his professional career, he has held various positions within supply chain management and his responsibilities included procurement, materials management, logistical activities, and contract management for both domestic and international functions. On two separate occasions, Bob was responsible for starting and implementing a supply chain function.
Bob has conducted training and workshop seminars for clients as well as numerous Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and APICS entities. He presented various subjects as 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 ISM International Conferences as well as conducted numerous seminars and workshops for various ISM district and local affiliates. Bob is a practitioner and his knowledge and experience of supply chain management, coupled with his presentations skills, has provided valuable insight and information for supply chain professionals in all industries.
