Message from the President
Teri Nelson, C.P.M.
President
NAPM-Twin Cities, Inc.
2010 - 2011
As we begin the 2010-2011 terms, I look ahead with anticipation as your affiliate's president. The fine work of past presidents and committee chairs and members have established rich soil from which we can grow. For that I want to acknowledge those efforts and say "Thank you" for all the hard work that has gone into NAPM-Twin Cities through some very difficult times.
It is the members that make any organization successful; you are the lifeblood of this affiliate and I want to say "Thank you" for your support. I look forward to welcoming many new members during this new term by presenting the value that NAPM-TC has available to all, inclusive of networking, professional development, educational opportunities, and many other benefits. In addition, classes will continue to be offered to members that are interested in obtaining ISM's prestigious CPSM designation.
It is my goal to maintain and expand upon all that has been achieved by my predecessors; as well, with support from the NAPM-TC committees, I will:
• support and promote activities to increase membership
• promote using the tools currently available to provide exposure to employment opportunities for members
• encourage increased participation in the professional recognition programs available through NAPM-TC
There are many exceptional committee members in place today to support NAPM-TC and we are always looking for new knowledge and experience to make our organization even better to service you. Since our organization depends on the volunteer support of its members, you may want to consider joining one of the several committees that are available. This provides excellent professional career development experience and can be used towards achieving service points for A.P.P./C.P.M./CPSM designations.
There will continue to be challenges ahead but I am committed as your elected representative to doing all that I can to continue the momentum of this fine affiliate of which I have been proud to be a member of for many years. Let's do all we can during this next term to build upon the foundation that has been established.
